Hello Beasley Jaguars,

Mark your calendar for the Beasley Holiday Extravaganza on Friday, Dec. 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Join us to roast s'mores, make crafts and have fun with your friends!

2021-2022 school year.

Our regular school hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.  Please make it a habit to arrive to school on time daily.  This is very important for many reasons.  Students are asked to arrive between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 as we do not provide supervision of students before this time.  If you are in need of before or after school care for your child, we offer service via our campus satellite YMCA program at 314-849-4668.  Students are counted tardy when the bell rings at 8:00.

We will dismiss buses promptly at 2:50 p.m. in our front circle drive and we encourage parents who are picking up students to use our parent pick up line behind the school library. I will be sending a separate email about the parent drop off/pick up procedure.  Click here for Bus Route information  If you have concerns about your bus route, please call 314-467-5240 and our transportation department will be happy to help with solutions.

Be sure your student has the necessary school supplies. Students can bring water bottles to fill using water bottle fillers. We have one on each floor. No drinking fountains will be used. Be sure to keep water bottles away from the chromebook.

Face masks/coverings are required on the bus and in the building. Face coverings must cover the nose and mouth and cannot have any holes or valves. Social distancing will be practiced.

We have a wonderful cafeteria staff that will host your child for breakfast and lunch each day. Your child may bring a lunch from home or get a hot lunch from school. At this time, all school breakfast and lunch are free for all students.  Extra milk and/or juice cost 0.50 cents. If you want your child to purchase a milk or juice to go with their lunch from home, it costs 0.50 cents.  Please put money in your child’s account for this.  The district asks all parents to pre-pay into an account for lunches in a MySchoolBucks account.  Students may also bring a check in any amount made out to the Mehlville School District to pay for extras ahead of time.  Be sure you place your child’s name and teacher’s name on an envelope and clearly state that the money is for LUNCH ACCOUNT. Our cafeteria manager, Kelli Doran, can be reached at 314-467-5450 to answer any questions.

We will still be utilizing a School Wellness Checklist daily. Your student may not enter the building if he/she is experiencing any of these symptoms. Don’t forget all immunizations must be current for your child to attend school.  Kindergarten students, 4th grade students and ALL new students must have a physical examination record on file. Please call our school nurse, Mrs. Wright, at 467-5430 if you have any questions.

Beasley is making home visits again this year! Children need teachers and parents working together for them to do well in school. Sign up with your child’s teacher!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 314-467-5401 or by email at deanea@msdr9.org.

Thank you for your support in making your child’s education a success.

Be sure to register with ParentSquare to receive all the latest emails and texts from Beasley Elementary and Mehlville School District.
