Hello Beasley Jaguars,

I want to first take a moment to express sincere gratitude to all our families for support and encouragement during this time of remote learning. We could not have done this without you!

We are now turning our attention to planning next school year and we know you would like to retrieve your child’s personal belongings/supplies from this school year.   Thanks for allowing us to wait to ensure the safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff members.  We have been given permission to move forward with Student Belonging/Supply Pick Ups from the 2019-2020 school year.

On Monday, June 8 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, Beasley staff will be available for families to drive through to pick up the supplies the teachers have gathered from desks and lockers.  When you enter the road to school, keep left at the fork and go around the back of the building. You will take the driveway to the library area and then straight to the circle drive in front of school.  You will pull up as far as possible by the gym doors.  We will be distributing from the gym doors off the grassy field area.  Please stay in line.  Please have a large piece of paper in your window with your student(s)' last name, grade, and teacher’s name on it. This will greatly help us in getting the belongings out to you in a timely manner.   When you arrive in front of the gym, a staff member will read your student(s) name and then go to pick up your students belongings.  Please stay in your vehicle. Pull up as far as possible.  Once you have received the belongings, please exit out the front drive.  You may come anytime between 10-6 on Monday.  You do not need to have an appointment.  If your child’s classroom teacher is helping on Monday, the teacher may share the time he/she will be at Beasley so your child can see/wave to them.  Not all teachers will be helping on Monday.

Chromebooks- All Students, kindergarten through 5th grade, are keeping their chromebook for the summer.  There will be NO chromebook return at this time.  5th graders will take their chromebook to middle school with them.  You only need to return a chromebook if you are moving out of the Mehlville School District. You can receive help with your chromebook all summer by emailing msdchromebookhelp@msdr9.org or calling 314-467-5409.

Library Books- We will collect Beasley library books if you have them to turn back into Beasley.  St. Louis County Library books should be returned to the county library. St. Louis County Library book drops have reopened and curbside service is now available.   Please utilize these options.

Yearbooks-If you ordered a yearbook for your child, it is in the bag with his/her belongings.  We have a few extra yearbooks for purchase.  If you would still like to purchase a yearbook, please call the school at 314-467-5400 or email me or Vicky Aldrich to reserve a copy.  deanea@msdr9.org or aldrichv@msdr9.org

Classroom Art Projects-Finished art projects have been placed in bag with your child’s classroom belongings

Art Club projects- will be on a table for pick up.  Most students did not write their name on the Art Club projects.  Only one family at the table at a time to view and pick up projects.  Please wear a mask if you get out of your vehicle.

Lost & Found- We will have a table with items from our Lost and Found.  If you are missing something, please feel free to check this table as you go through the line.  Please only one family at the table at a time.  Please wear a mask if you get out of your vehicle.  Any remaining items will be donated to charity.

Medications-These will be returned to you if we still have a medication at school.  Any medication not picked up will be destroyed following proper protocols.

Other Items- If you need something else other than the above mentioned supplies/belongings, please contact our school office at 314-467-5400 to talk to us and make arrangements for pick up.

Refunds-If you paid for an event that was cancelled such as Kids' Trivia or 5th grade panoramic picture, you will receive your refund at Supply Pick Up.

What to do before you leave home:
•       Write your student’s first and last name, grade level and teacher’s name visibly (dark ink/marker preferred!) on a piece of paper to hang/post in your car window or dashboard.
•       Bring any Beasley library books to return.

When you arrive at Beasley:
•       Keep left at the fork and go around the back of the building. You will take the driveway to the library area and then straight to the circle drive in front of school.
•       Stay inside your vehicle.  Only get out if necessary to get art club project or a lost and found item.
•       Watch for staff members directing traffic and asking you to stop or move forward. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this process!
•       Ensure that your student’s name, grade level and teacher’s name is visibly posted in your vehicle window or on your dashboard.
•       A staff member will hand you the pre-bagged student’s personal items.  You are also welcome to open your trunk or back of your vehicle for these items. These personal items include all student materials and any personal contents left in your child’s classroom(s).
•       Once this procedure is complete, a staff member will let you know you are finished and ready to go!

When you arrive home:
•       Please ensure to take additional precautions by unpacking student materials, disposing the bag and washing your hands for at least 20 seconds.

A special thanks to Schnucks and Dierbergs for donating bags to our school for this.

Grab and Go meals- Please see this for locations.

Thanks for your continued cooperation and support.

Your Partner in Education,
Mrs. Deane
