Dear Beasley Families,

Beasley is honored to invite our families to a Beasley Family Dinner, a fun (and free!) dinner in our cafeteria on Thursday, September 12th. A flyer went home about this. Please return the bottom portion of the flyer to RSVP, or you can also RSVP here

Spirit Wear pick up will be on Tuesday, September 10 3:00-5:30 in the front lobby area. Orders that are not picked up will be sent home with your student on Wednesday.  PTO is not responsible and will NOT reimburse for lost items.

Students have been busy taking beginning of the year assessments.  Students in grades 3-5 have been completing English language arts assessments online through Mastery Connect.  All students are taking math assessments in iReady math online.  These assessments will guide instruction and inform teachers about your child’s learning based on grade level standards.

We will have our Room Parent meeting on Tuesday, September 10 at 5:30 in the cafeteria.  Any caregiver that wants to help with our parties this year should attend.  We need everyone’s help to make our parties fun and successful!

Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 will be our first PTO meeting for this year.   Everyone is a part of our Beasley PTO and we need your support.  These one hour meetings are informational and collaborative.  You can learn so much about your child’s school, meet other parents and find out ways to get involved.  Make plans to attend.  Childcare is provided.

We are very excited to tell you that Beasley is making home visits to our students.  Did you know that each year children spend less than 13% off their time in school and about 54% (when not sleeping) out of school, at home, with family and friends?  Children need teachers and parents working together for them to do well in school.  The home visit program allows teachers to get to know you, the parents of our students, and for you to get to know us better.  Our goal is to build even stronger relationships between families and school.
One of your child’s teachers and another member of our staff would like to visit you.  We will want you to brag about your child and share information that only you can, because no one knows your child better than you do.  Home visits are so much more than a regular parent-teacher conference because teachers can gain even more insight into your child’s strengths and learning needs from you.  We are excited about visiting you and forming an even stronger partnership between home and school.
Please contact your child’s teacher today to set up a home visit.  At any time, feel free to call me with any questions or concerns you may have.  We are looking forward to working with you throughout your child’s school experience.

Mrs. Andrea Deane
